Our First Face-to-Face Workshop Since the Pandemic

This was our first face-to-face workshop since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.

πŸ™‚πŸ‘©β€πŸ«πŸ‘‘ A workshop to enable teachers to reframe stress, be resilient, and teach with excellence.

πŸŽ‚β€οΈ A thanksgiving token for teachers on my 65th birth month.

Here are some of my insights during this 4-hour, 3-in-1 teacher development workshop:

Face-to-face workshops are still far better than virtual ones.

Participants are more comfortable, can easily connect with one another, and can comprehend lessons better. The sharing of real-life, authentic experiences is also richer since the coaches and participants can better project themselves through their voice, facial expressions and body language simultaneously.

Major lessons to remember:

🧑 Some stress is good for us.

πŸ’› Resilience is built when we are able to manage our stressors and bounce back to our normal functioning.

πŸ’š Reframing our perspective about stress will help us cope with stresses.

πŸ’™ Excellence is a process, is one’s integrity, and identity.

Thank you Coaches Senen Tantoco Pineda and Jan Kevin Mendoza for giving teachers extra tools to handle their overflowing stressors in their workplaces and inspiring them to teach with excellence.

Teachers, we hope that you continue to learn, reflect and share what you got from our workshop and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Smile. Laban! Wear your teacher-crown.
